Through my years of ministry, I have developed a passion for preaching, dynamic worship, Spirituality, and helping to make things happen.
I was born in Wheeling, WV and have always enjoyed challenges. I was a leader in my church youth group and sang in both the youth and adult choirs. I attained the rank of Eagle Scout and earned the Pro Deo et Patria religious award.
At Capital University, I participated in both music and drama, singing in the prestigious Chapel Choir and being inducted into the National Collegiate Players honors society and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity. On a summer scholarship from the International Order of the King’s Daughters and Sons to the Chautauqua Institute in New York, I was chosen to deliver the message on Order Night with 5,000 in attendance.
During my internship in Appleton, WI, I developed and led the first weekly Folk Worship offered by this congregation of 1850 confirmed members. In my Senior year of Seminary, I was honored to serve as the student pastor for a local congregation.
Before coming to Hope, I served ten years in two congregational Calls in Northern Wisconsin and 24 years as Executive Director of two Bible Camps, first in North Dakota and then in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
I enjoy meeting people, the perspectives and cuisine of diverse cultures, reading, home improvement, riding my ’76 motorcycle and my ’81 Vette, spending time with family including two Keeshonden, and especially the great privilege of being Called by God to serve as a Pastor here at Hope.
