Hope has many opportunities for children and youth to learn about their faith and build life-long friendships.  From Sunday school to Oasis and annual trips, we've got something for everyone!

Young people - Age 3 to Grade 5

Sunday School at Hope is a Bible-based program of Christian education and faith to nurture for children aged 3 through 5. Classes meet weekly at 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings from September until June. Our eight-week program of Summer Sunday Bible Adventures rounds out rest of the year.

The Rock - Grade 5

The Rock gathers in the Youth Room at Hope on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from September (following Labor Day) through May (except for Lent) from 6pm to 7:30pm for a time of fellowship, lifeskills support and spiritual nurture through games, activities, music and Bible reflection.

Confirmation - Grades 6 - 8

Confirmation (grades 6 - 8). This awesome program, focusing on a small group ministry format, involves a combination of Pastor-led Bible studies, Lutheran theology, youth-led games and skits, snacks, service projects and social events. We meet on Sundays at 9:30 AM during the school year at the church. Newcomers are always welcome!

Oasis - Grades 9 - 12

Youth in grades 9-12 gather from 7-9 PM on most Sunday nights in the Youth Room for spiritual growth and activities. Friends and newcomers are welcome. Oasis trips may include a summer youth gathering and/or a winter retreat/ski trip.

Hope’s Safe Community Policy

A Commitment to Sanctuary
Adopted by the Church Council, September, 1998

In recognition of the spiritual and public trust given to this faith community, Hope Lutheran Church is committed to being a true sanctuary, both nurturing and protecting its members and visitors. Worship of God requires openness, trust, intimacy, vulnerability, and a safe, supportive community. Abuse and harassment are, therefore, violations of the faith shared by this congregation. Accordingly, the congregation will maintain official policies and procedures which assure prevention of instances of abuse, appropriate intervention into alleged incidents of abusive behavior, and care for all involved. These procedures will be reviewed by the Church Council annually to correspond to changes in civil law and the community.
