September 6: God’s Justice and God’s Mercy

September 6: God's Justice and God's Mercy

Summary: This week’s Sermon is based on a reading from the Old Testament book of Ezekiel which discusses God’s justice and mercy. How do you reconcile these concepts? The old idea that suffering is a punishment for sin does not work. If you want to receive the redemptive love of God you have to give your whole heart to God, and he will show you mercy. God’s justice against sin and evil was assumed by Jesus, so we might be saved.
