You Were Chosen to Fulfill a Purpose
The 6th Sunday of Easter – May 9th, 2021
Happy Mother’s Day!
Summary: Jesus tells his disciples to abide in my love. Jesus further defines the nature of God’s love by telling the disciples that God will lay down his life for his friends. Jesus gave his live and suffered the consequences of our sin. Throughout his life, everything Jesus did was about serving those around him. This becomes to us a perfect example of what God’s love looks like. God’s love comes to us not because of anything we do, but because it is God’s nature to love us. This love is intended to revolutionize our behavior and how we live our lives. It enables us to go down a path that is characterized by service. The most joyful people are those that serve others and make a difference in their lives. Learning to serve brings joy and meaning like nothing else can. This is the purpose of our lives.
