The Hope Men’s Breakfast group meets in Nielsen Hall on the first and third Saturdays of each month (September through May) at 7:30 am for continental breakfast and Bible study.
Hope Lutheran Church Women’s Group (HLCW) hosts an annual Christmas Smorgasbord and a lovely Spring Luncheon each year. On a monthly basis, they meet in circles to spend time in meaningful Bible Study and fellowship. As one member put it:
Tired of running in circles? Why not STOP and join one – a circle, that is!
Each month, women gather in small groups (circles) usually in homes, for member-led Bible Studies, fellowship and refreshments. Close bonds are formed.
If you are interested in such an activity, please contact the church office for further details.
“Single Seniors” includes members and friends of Hope Lutheran Church as well as St. Andrew’s and Holy Trinity Lutheran Churches. Activity consists of specific program presentations on the first Tuesday of each month from September to June. In addition, “lunch outings” are scheduled for the third Thursday of each month, with a variety of local restaurants visited. The group will periodically take one-day “bus trips” to places of interest, usually on a first Tuesday.
All seniors are welcome!
The Hope Quilters meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month (January-October) from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Nielsen Hall to make quilts for donation to organizations that serve those in need.
Our quilts are shared in the local community with groups like CALL Primrose, Samaritan House, CORA, Hope and Home and Children’s Fund.
We also send about 50 quilts each year to Lutheran World Relief where they are distributed around the world and some are give locally to Lutheran Social Services for fire victims.
We also give each graduating high school senior a quilt.
Everyone is welcome. No need to call ahead – just come!
