A New Teaching – With Authority
The Fourth Sunday after Epiphany
This Sunday Hope welcomes Pastor Peter Krey as our guest pastor. Pastor Krey has been a pastor in the Lutheran Church since 1971, serving first in Berlin, Germany, and then serving congregations in New York, Pennsylvania, and the Bay Area. He also wrote and produced “Luther – The Musical” with his son Mark in 2017.
Our gospel text for today is from the first chapter of Mark. in this text, forces that would bring death and disease have taken hold of a man, yet they recognize Jesus and know what his power means for them. Jesus commands these forces to leave and people are amazed at his authority.
