A World Upside Down

We are very pleased to again welcome Tim Philips as our guest pastor. A lifelong Californian and Lutheran, he has served in full time ministry for 35 years.
The Gospel text this week is from Luke 6:17-26. In this text, Jesus teaches his followers about the nature and demands of discipleship. Applying these verses to present day… Jesus is “on the level” with us, telling us the truth of our lives as he sees us, and confronting us with our responsibility to be a part of God’s kingdom with our response to what we see in the world. God calls us to be a part of the kind of kingdom that Christ modeled.
