Alive Forever More
All Saints’ Sunday
The Gospel lesson for this Sunday is from John 11: 32-44.
As we celebrate All Saints Sunday, we are reminded that death is a paradox, and this explains why we hold our griefs and our hopes together in tension. Death is the “last enemy” which Jesus defeated through his death and resurrection. Death is also the door to eternal life through which we all must pass to attain the joys of heaven. This is a message of hope, and is at the core of faith we hold at Hope. It is our prayer and encouragement that we are all able to gather together this Sunday to share our grief and celebrate our hope together.
