Anointed with the Spirit
The Baptism of our Lord
In today’s Gospel reading from Mark chapter 1, we learn the story of Jesus’ baptism. Paul also writes of baptism in today’s lesson from Acts. After Paul baptizes them in the name of Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes to them and empowers them with the gifts of the Spirit.
