Go Tell It on the Mountain
The gospel text for this Transfiguration Sunday is from Matthew 17:1-9. These powerful verses describe the transfiguration of Jesus, where Jesus reveals his divine glory to Peter, James and John, on a high mountain. His face shines like the sun, and he converses with Moses and Elijah, representing the Law and the Prophets, before a divine voice affirms him as the beloved Son.
