Hope Beyond Hope
The Sunday of Pentecost – May 23rd, 2021
Summary: The Holy Spirit gives us hope through our faith in Christ that rises above the temporary hopes of this world. Our hopes for this life include things such as a good job when we are young, children when we get married, health as we age, and money for retirement. These hopes may result in disappointment. Hope in Christ is a changeless hope that gives us a deeper form of contentment because it is fulfilled in the promise of eternal life. Moreover, through our hope in Christ, we participate in bringing hope to others through our service in the world.
