We learn that Jesus’ death cannot be reduced to help just the rich or the poor, cannot be reduced to represent political power. God’s Messiah helps everyone — “all the enemies of life!” The people meant Jesus’ death to punish, but God meant it for good. Pastor Dan tells us that we must use God for LOVE, not control.
