October 18, 2020 – A Reflection on Faith
Summary: At any point in our lives, we have no idea what the future holds. God alone directs our future. Today’s bible readings reveal that we need to view our circumstances in life through the eyes of faith, rather than through the filter of our problems and troubles. When we have faith in God, we see things as God promises them to be. Faith gives us an ability to hope and be resilient rather than be filled with despair and hopelessness.

The sermon Sunday, 10/18 was just exactly what I needed to hear! In this time of complete confusion with the virus about the present and the future, when we do not know what is ahead, Pastor Dan assures us that God knows and we don’t. BUT – this sermon feeds the heart and soul with the holy Spirit, and we are told that we can nurture the spirit with what Pastor calls “the eyes of faith.” It certainly was a wonderful reminder that our future is in God’s hands!
