September 20th: Divine Generosity
Summary: Today’s sermon examines the parable of the Laborers in the Vineyard. In this parable the wealthy landowner is not concerned with merit, but rather making sure that he provides for all workers’ needs. Likewise, all people are of equal value in heaven. This parable is a warning that we cannot earn “merits” with God. Redemption is a free gift from God that all who commit themselves to Christ are able to receive.
