Advent 3: The Heart of the Christian Faith
Summary: The Gospel of John often refers to Jesus as the light. Like a light, faith in Jesus allows us to see things we could not see otherwise. It is through the work of the Holy Spirit that Jesus accomplishes the blessings foretold to us in Isaiah. We all have many blessings to be grateful for. The more mindful we are to our blessings, the more we are able to receive God’s promises. Jesus allows us to see the presence of God in our lives. Therefore, we can live a thankful life with gratitude, which assures us that we are loved by a God that is constantly present in our lives.
