Heaven Come to Earth
The 4th Sunday of Easter
This Sunday’s worship and message continues our series on The Lord’s Prayer, “Heaven Come to Earth” (Matthew 11:2-6). When John is in prison, he sends a message to Jesus asking if he is the Messiah our if John is to look for another. Jesus replies by sharing sins of God’s Kingdom breaking into our world. As we pray, “Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven,” we are asking for God to continue this breakthrough and make us willing participants in God’s will being accomplished here and now. God invites us to greater intimacy and a challenge to be God’s chosen representatives in the world.
