God Doesn’t Tempt Anyone
This Sunday we will be looking at the sixth petition of The Lord’s Prayer, “Save us from the time of trial,” in Pastor Kevin’s message, “God Tempts No One” (James 1:12-16). There is only one in the Scriptures who is called the “tempter” and it’s not God. The evil one is all about trying to make us self-destruct, by separating us from God’s love and/or making us become out of touch with ourselves. This is when we are most vulnerable. So Jesus teaches us to pray to not be undone through times of testing and to know God has power available for us to overcome the attacks which are always coming our way. God wants us to know we are never alone, and we pray to know God’s power and presence in our lives.
