How to Respond to Jesus’s Words
This week we welcome guest pastor Pastor Doris Ng. Swee Lan Doris Ng was born and raised in Singapore. She was a missionary to Thailand for 5 years. She pioneered a Thai church in Singapore, and has been with Grace Lao Lutheran Church since January 2009. Welcome, Pastor Doris!
The Gospel lesson for this Sunday is from Mark 9: 38-50. In this passage, Jesus teaches his disciples about ministry that involves service and sacrifice. His disciples are slow to realize that these words apply to them as well as to others.
