Our Unity in Christ
The seventh Sunday of Easter The sermon for this Sunday is entitled: “Our Unity in Christ”. The gospel text for Sunday is taken from Jesus’ “High Priestly Prayer” (John 17). Jesus feels responsible for the mission and well-being of his disciples. So, while they will not be taken out of a dangerous world, he prays that his Father will protect them from evil. In addition, he prays for unity among his followers. This does not mean they will agree on everything. It means that the love of God will keep them in harmony and peace.
