Rejoicing Over the One
Luke’s Gospel describes Jesus being on a rescue mission, which is the subject of this week’s sermon, “Rejoicing Over the One” (Luke 15:1-10). Today’s sermon helps us see that rescuing sinners and rejoicing in their return was a community event, and not just an individual occurrence. Western Christians tend to see everything individualistically, but Jesus sees God’s greater plan to be calling “a people” to be God’s own. Join us this week as we hear the familiar stories of a lost sheep and a lost coin in a new light that will capture our hearts to also be part of God’s rescue mission.
