The Inauguration of God’s Kingdom

The Inauguration of God's Kingdom

In today’s gospel, Jesus and his disciples proclaim the good news that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Jesus explains this proclamation by providing several parables that explore the implications for people’s lives. Jesus is showing us that the kingdom of heaven is a great treasure or a pearl of great value. But the good news is that is not a treasure or a pearl that is still to be searched for or hoped for. It is a treasure or a pearl which has already been found!
