Wounds That Heal
God’s love is not an enabling love that simply overlooks behavior that is harmful to self and others. Rather, divine love transforms our hearts such that we become servants. Jesus uses the metaphor of a sword in this regard, and to illustrate the fact that when our values change, so too do our relationships with others. People who live by values contrary to Christian values, will at times turn against us. At times like this, we need the support of our church family. This will help make our faith stronger.
