November 15 – The Risky Investments of Faith
Summary: Today’s sermon text is a parable from the book of Matthew which teaches that we are called to invest our faith to share the gospel message. The problem is that people today are expected to keep their faith to themselves. Unfortunately, we live in a consumer society where happiness is judged by the creation of wealth, not faith or the values taught by Jesus. We must remember that in the eyes of God all are equal – slaves, peasants, and the rich. We should invest our faith through our actions, by sharing the news of Christ and doing good. Christ offers to all a more valuable return than any wealth accumulation.
